Dear Angelina,

As you can imagine, life has been quite busy and has changed quite a lot since I was you. I know you are still there, listening to my every word and whispering into the insides of my ears. I know you are taking notes of my mistakes so that we can remember not to make them again.

Growing up is hard. It has made me accept certain things that you may not be able to. Please understand that this does not mean that I do not hear you. It does not mean that I belittle your pain and memories. What it does mean is that there is much more good that you can see through these eyes with me in the driver’s seat.

Rest, Angelina. I am doing all the driving, and please trust that I am choosing the best of every choice I am given each day–because you deserve it. (You always deserved it).

Yours always,
